Announcement Is a First for Dual-Mode Devices
SAN DIEGO, CA–(Marketwire – 10/26/10) – Franklin Wireless Corp. (OTC.BB:FKWL – News), the market leader in dual-mode WiMAX and CDMA modems for 3G and 4G wireless broadband data communications, today announced that new versions of its products will support Network Driver Interface Specification (NDIS) 6.2. NDIS 6.2, supported by Windows® 7, is an application program interface (API) for devices such as USB modems and embedded modules that eliminates the need for separate connection manager software and makes it easy to view and manage mobile broadband network connections. Upcoming versions of Franklin’s U600 dual-mode WiMAX/CDMA USB modem as well as the dual-mode M600 and single-mode M600C embedded modules will feature NDIS 6.2 support. The company believes that this is the first such public announcement regarding NDIS 6.2 support for dual-mode WiMAX/CDMA modems or modules.
“We are always striving to design and develop products that are easy for consumers to install and use,” stated OC Kim, president of Franklin Wireless. “By supporting NDIS 6.2, our products will be simpler and easier to use than ever before.”
